    Default BRRRR!!!!

    It is 6am here and -45c with the wind chill. We have a blizzard warning and a wind chill warning. Needless to see we won't be going out today. Unless the temperature goes up alot in the next 2 hours the boys will be staying home from school too. I just feel bad for my 16yr old DS, he had to deliver papers this morning, and it's going to take him longer than nomal because of the snow drifts. Normally he bikes.

    I'm quite a bit north of you, Edm! I didn't realize Southern AB got hit too! We're getting really cold her. I declare snowday tomorrow..lol.

    I'm keeping my boys home from school today. The schools are open but they have to walk 4 blocks and that is so not happening.

    Dh was home today and able to drive, but tomorrow it's even colder, and I'm NOT sending them on the bus. It's a 4 block walk to the stop, and I have toddlers in my care, just too cold to risk a frozen fuel line or something silly.

    I know what you mean if it's still cold tomorrow they might be home again. I have a 4 yr old and 2 younger kids that I babysit and I'm not taking a chance on breaking down with all of them in the van.

    MINUS 50 HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I live in Southern Saskatchewan and we got hit last night. I walked in the rink and it was minus 10 and at 8 it was minus 30 with 60 km wind gusts. My van was bouncing all over. No one on the other side of the road to worry about.
    No buses today, the visibility is great but the temp is disgusting. Probably the same tomorrow and then by friday it is supposed to be minus 8.
    Do you feel greatful that we're almost Feb before we got this? I feel like at least its been fairly decent until now.

    Today it looks so nice and sunny out but it is -32C and with the wind chill it is -45C
    Another good day to stay in and keep with by doing some baking. The boys are home today again but their school is closed.
