Default Is anyone as glad as I am that January is almost over?

As long as I can remember I have hated the month of January - can never wait till it is finished.
The excitement and activity of the holidays is over.
Our weather is almost always terrible in January (almost never any snow just rain) and it is always dark in January.
Up until this week it didn't get light till almost 8.30 am. and it was dark at 5 pm.
This Friday I will as happy as a lark since it will then be February 1st and it has happened that we had real spring days here in February.
Is it just me or are there more out there who don't like the dark, cold miserable weather days of January?

Oh January is miserable and drags on FOREVER, I'll be so glad when it's over!

On a good note last night, our weather man said that the coldest is behind us, not spring yet but we shouldn't have any more of those nasty 0 degree days..

I'm waiting anxiously for the longer and longer days, and for things to start growing!

February is the worst for me. Freezing almost all month and just dreary all month. And, oh boy, an extra day of it this year!

January doesn't bother me so much. I guess for my family, there is celebrating to do. My birthday is the 8th, my DSIL is the 12th and my DNephew is the 14th. I don't really care for the darkness when I awake or the darkness at suppertime. I like the longer days of Spring and Summer.

The only reason I like January is for the cold weather and snow. I know I'll be crucified here for saying that. There aren't many people who prefer Winter to Summer. I figure as long as I can get warm inside, I'm ok.

But otherwise, I hate the after Christmas slump....so I can agree about most aspects of the January doldrums.

I also can't wait for it to be over - once January is gone it seems like spring is just around the corner. My birthday is in January, and I've always hated that month because I'm not a winter person, so much so that I planned for my son to be born in the summer!

This particular January yes. It seems since the new year came in, Murphy moved into my house and started breaking things and putting unexpected expenses in our way. Plus we have had lots of snow with more to come

I would rather have a dreary January than a windy March. I am glad it is one month closer to spring though.

I am not liking January. Nor February so much either. Hope that it flies by. I hate cold, snow, and dark days. Cant wait not to have to bundle up before even thinking about going outside. Ugh!

For me, January and February both stink. This year, our Spring break is in early March and I am going home to see family and friends! It make's it that much harder to survive until then! Can't wait to go home!!!! At least I have the Super Bowl to look forward too!!! GO PATRIOTS!!!!! 19-0!!!
Then of course the Daytona 500 is coming up in a few weeks!!! GO JR!!!!!!
Yes it's true, my life revolves around football and Nascar!!!!! Oh well, there are worse things!!!!!

Hang in there everyone! It's almost over!!!
