    Default Hello, all! I have a few questions.

    Hello all,

    I am very interested in frugal living and saving money. I didn't even know this site existed until I saw the "Frugal Living by Sara Noel" column in the paper today. I am so excited that there is a whole group of people gathered in one place to exchange ideas on how to save money.

    After looking around the site a bit, I do have a few questions.
    1. What are challenges/activities listed on some threads?
    2. What is casino cash, listed under user names, and how it is gained and used and why?
    3. What are the awards such as scrapbook, quilter, etc..., listed under user names, how are they gained?
    4. What else should I know about this site and how to navigate it easily to learn all I can about saving money?

    I look forward to learning more about saving money and frugal living.

    Hi Isabelle! Welcome. I can answer some of your questions.

    The challenges are just little goals we set for ourselves in a given amount of time. For example last month I set the goal on grocery challenge of $350 for the month and tracked it on my signature.

    If you go to "new Posts" along the top bar, that seems to be the favorite way to navigate the site.

    Lemme see what I can answer for you:

    1. What are challenges/activities listed on some threads? We like to set challenges such as limited eating out, grocery challenge, knock out debt challenge, etc. where we all commit of trying to spend only a set amount of money. (We each decide on the amount.)


    2. What is casino cash, listed under user names, and how it is gained and used and why? We have a casino here at the Village. You can use the cash to bet and win or lose. It's all for fun, and you gain money by posting!

    3. What are the awards such as scrapbook, quilter, etc..., listed under user names, how are they gained?
    We have different clubs that have little badges associated wtih them. So If you join a club, you get a badge!

    4. What else should I know about this site and how to navigate it easily to learn all I can about saving money?
