Grant money...

Just curious if anyone has ever applied for a personal grant and had success doing so.

I have heard many times that the government has set aside money for grants for all taxpayers to take advantage of. I have seen sites on the internet that promotes it for starting up a business, home improvements, paying off student loans, etc. And, according to what they say, you don't even have to be on a low income scale to qualify. I don't know how they choose who gets the grants, though.

Has anyone ever applied or had success?

The only grant I have ever gotten is a Pell Grant for college tuition. I know there are many grants for school with varying requirements, however I dont know about any personal ones, or even how to find them...though that Matthew Lesko commercial on TV claims to have them all in his book. Check it at the library, it may actually have some good usable info.
