Red face Anyone else not into football?

I don't hate football, I just couldn't care less . Anyone else feel this way? What will you be doing today during the big game? I might go to the grocery store. Woo-hoo! I am cooking wings for my husband, who is more of a Nascar guy. I do like Tom Petty, so I might watch the halftime show.

Same here...I watch for the commercials(which lately have been either borderline porn, or so confusing that you're not even sure what you just saw or what they were selling ). I usually read the Sunday papers, clip the coupons(of course!!), do some laundry, and keep my son and his dad(who comes over for the day and for my chili!) fed and watered. This year, I may end up watching the whole game, only because it's a big deal in NJ and one of our pastors used to be the chaplain for the Giants(when they won the SB in 1990). If it's not even remotely interesting(or a blowout) I'll head in to the bedroom to watch Jane Austen's life on Masterpiece Theatre.
I don't like ANY sport(except figure skating), and don't even care to learn the rules. If you try to explain, I zone out. More important things for me than paying grown men millions of dollars to hit a ball with a stick or chase a piece of leather around. And boxing...OY!! If you do that on the street, they arrest you...do it in a ring and people pay big $$, hoping you'll go unconscious and start bleeding from your ears.

I'm not into ANY type of sports. I'll be studying during the superbowl.

No football here either. If nothing good is on I will probably work in my craft room doing some organizing.

    Hi
I have to agree-i too am not interested in sport-of any kind. But then again....i live in Liverpool (UK) and this is a city obsessed with football (soccer) It is actually quite hard to not be affected by this obsession, so i have to confess that when Liverpool FC are playing a really big game-even i have one eye on the TV (or one ear on the radio!) to see what the score is!
But generally i dont get it-but each to their own i guess...

I like football, I love baseball, and I like basketball but I don't watch very often.
My guys will be headed to the sportsbar tonight to watch until probably 3rd quarter. DS has to be up and on his way to work by 2:30 am in the morning.
He'll want to be asleep by 9 or 10.

I'm not really into the game at all, but I like the commercials and the snacks. We are going to watch at my mom's today and she's making snack foods that I love . I'll probably clip some coupons and visit FV a few times during the game, but looking forward to the food....

I don't care about football and neither does DH. I'm very thankful for this. LOL! We will probably watch a movie and are having a friend of our sons over to play. In winter we do watch somebasketball which we find somewhat entertaining

I HATE it and always have I just don't get it. I mean they are grown men running after a ball, getting dirty and touching all over each other. And what is it with smacking each other in the butt? I don't get it and don't want to.

I am not much into football either or any sport for that matter except gymnastics... DH did say he was going to watch it today but he's not much into it, wonder how long he will watch it for... or maybe it's for the cheerleaders?

Nothing like a bunch of big huge guys beating the snot out of each other to grab a little ball and being paid millions of dollars to do it huh?

Nope, not really a fan here (lol, who's playing again?) OHHH, that's right! TOM PETTY IS DOING THE HALF TIME SHOW! NOW THAT I'LL BE WATCHING

We're not fans either. Kind of dangerous to admit when you live in a state where college football is the state religion.... but when it comes to "the team" people around here are way too serious.

Anyway it's the night for our monthly contemplative prayer service -- so we will be in church. Then will come home and eat leftovers.
