    Default Looking ahead to March

Has anyone noticed that in March there's St. Pats Day on the 17th, and EASTER on the 23rd? Wow, it sure is early this year. Guess there won't be any outside egg hunts, Easter Bunny won't be hopping he'll be skating. And March is such a crazy month weather wise, could be a foot of snow on the ground, or the tulips could be blooming.

tell me about it! Ds has to have some tests done in hospital and they had an opening in March. Now we may be there for Easter. I would have never thought it would have been that early

I noticed that. I thought it was early a couple of years ago on March 26th. I like it better when it's mid-April. Up here in the North Country, we have a better chance of outdoor activities in mid-April. March is just yucky, cold, and usually still quite snowy.

I think the next couple of months are going to fly by. We've already had Groundhog Day and Super Bowl Sunday. Next is Fat Tuesday, then Super Tuesday, then Daytona 500, then my kids have a week off for mid-winter recess. Then St Paddy's Day, then Easter & all that. Then I have a whole slew of family birthdays the end of March. Before we know it, it will be almost summer again

I can't believe how fast everything is flying by...

I noticed that I stopped thinking in calendar years and started thinking in school years once DD started...

School starts in September, that means we are already past the half-way mark and spring uniforms have to be purchased.

Having the holidays earlier do feel 'off'. DD goes to a Catholic school and it seems as if February & March have been cut short between vacation and holy days.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

It seems to me that no matter when Easter falls, the weather is cold! I remember one year it was late in April. It warmed up for several days ahead, but on Easter day we were all bundled up

We're already at 79 degrees here. Then again, some years we have seen our last "freeze" in April, so you never know. Actually the date for Easter is figured out years in advance and is rather complicated. In the Episcopal prayer book, it lists what date Easter will be on 20 years from now or more.
