    Default What does it mean.......

    I know a lot of you will laugh at me but I am not particularly computer savvy and I can't figure out something.

    I have figured out DH means husband.
    DS means son.
    DD means daughter.
    MIL - mother-in-law, etc. but what does the D in front of husband, son, daughter mean????? I just can't get that

    I promise no one is laughing! We all had to figure it out too.

    It means dear.
    DH = Dear husband
    DD = Dear daughter
    DS = Dear son

    Heh, one of my friends thought I was calling my DH a 'D**k Head'! Goes to show that 'DH' can stand for just about anything...

    Me too. I referred to my Mom as DM in a recent email to my sisters, who all took it to mean different things - most not repeatable, but creative!
