Where do you keep your trash can?
These are little things I think about
I've always tried to keep my trash can under the sink, and out of sight. A couple places I've lived, it hasn't been an option. I also keep the bathroom trash cans under the sink. It really bugs me to have a bathroom trash can sitting out in the open.....ick. All trash gets emptied several times a week....if I take out the kitchen trash, I go around and empty out the others into the bag. Our big can (dumpster) and recycle box are in the garage.

My kitchen one is under the sink. I love the fact that I can open the door and then slide out the can with my toe (it's on a sliding rack) & slide it back in all hands free,lol.http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...ctId=100037777
My bathroom one has a swinging top so you can't see what's inside. We're really on top of trash here, lol. [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Mini-Swing-Trash-Can-White/dp/B000KKMNPU"]Amazon.com: Umbra Metallic White Mini Wastebasket: Kitchen & Dining[/ame]~*Darlene*~

My kitchen trash is at the end of our counter. It is in a wooden bin with a hinged top (from a craft show a long time ago). My bathroom trash cans are right by the toilet. They usually get emptied daily into my big kitchen trash. I am trying to get my DH to understand that when he takes out the kitchen bag, go around the house and dump any other trash into it. If trash is going out I want it ALL out!!
My outside trash bin is under our carport.

I have a "sliding door" to the right of my sink. Kinda looks like a trash compactor, but it's really just a trash can in a cabinet. Usually, though, I like it under my sink. I have lived a few places where that wasn;t an option, so I had to do the end of the counter thing....which I hate. My bathroom trash cans are little ones stuck in the corner kinda behind the toilet. I;ve always done it that way~never thought of doing it differently.

my kitchen trash is a small grocery bag on our laundry room door handle, i dont like to keep trash around so i throw it out a couple of times a day. Our bathroom trash can is on top of the toilet, if we keep trash cans on the ground our dog will get into it.

Me too on the kitchen bag, though mine hangs on a little rack under the kitchen sink. My bathroom trash gets taken into the kitchen (remember that I live by myself) because one of the cats likes to string anything paper all over the house - and that can get both embarrassing and disgusting REAL fast! I pretty much take out the trash whenever any accumulates at all, and keep a large trash can with a big bag in the garage. That gets emptied whenever it either gets full or starts to emit any odor.

our trash can is out in the way all the time because i have yet to find somewhere to put it that is out of the way. If i put it under the sink then the doors will not shut because of the way that the sinks pipes go all over the place. So it sits in the way.
As for the bathroom the trashcan is always by the toliet.. right now that would be between the bath tub and the toliet a little teeny space which hides the thing pretty much also have the toliet cleaner brush there too.
As for out side we have a large trash can that sits out front because its to heavy for me to move and Joe can't move it now with his knee on the fritz.

The kitchen container is by my butcher block counter so that as I chop veggies, etc., the waste can slide right into the container. The bathroom ones are these itty bitty things that are by the toilets. We keep the large can in the garage and put it out at the road on Wednesday nights.

We don't have room for a trash can under our sink so I have a little can that stands out in the kitchen and I make sure the trash is taken out every single evening!!

We have two small trash cans in the 1/2 bathrooms both with a lid (like Darlene's) and two small trash cans (also the same ones) in the bathrooms. They are emptied every day.
We have a small trash bin under the sink which automatically opens the lid when you open the kitchen cabinet there. I empty this several times a day.Avril

The kitchen trash is under the only little bit of countertop we have. There's no cupboards under it, so it's more like a ledge than anything.
Our bathroom trash is just like Darlene's. A white, swing top round trash can out in the open *gasp*
We have pedestal sinks, so no where to stash the trash out of sight.
