OMG! I Got Bunch of Fabric!
My friend just gave me 45lbs of cotton fabric! I weighed it last night. It was cut into dresses and jackets and sideseams and shoulders were sewn. I sat for 2 evenings and cut them apart and bundled them up. They are mostly big pieces with an average of atleast 1-2 yards or more in each bundle. There are atleast 80 bundles! I can see a quilt in every piece, LOL

What a great friend to think of me! I'm so thrilled!

Wow that's awesome and boy are you lucky! I wish I had a friend like that, I decided to go back into my primitive doll making and stuff and had to run out today to get some fabric
Thank goodness I kept all my supplies from the last time (except fabric, lol)

How wonderful for you! Great to have friends like that. A simple idea would be to make dish drying towels. I made 6 this year from fabric from the 40s from an estate auction and love them! It is really nice to have some colored towels instead of all white....variety is the spice of life. They would be quick gifts to make. Just an idea to use up all that fabric
Have fun and please post some of your projects when you can. This stuff is inspiring!

Oh I love Primitive Dolls! They have so much character! Dish towels would be great! Thanks for the idea! I finally got my sewing room all organzied today. Had to make room for my new pieces.
Yep, she is a great friend.
I've got several quilts planned already. I was able to match up a lot of pieces as lots of the fabric was from the same manufacturer or same name brand like Robert Kaufman and there was even some Debbie Mumm fabric.

How great would it be if she got a gift from the fabric she gave you. A quilt or some dishtowels. I getting homemade gifts.

The reason my friend thought of me to give the fabric to is because the 1st week of December I bought her a Warren Kimble tapestry for only $3.00 and made her a pillow for her chair beside her door. She loves warren kimble and has his pictures and I thought it would make her happy and it did.
I'm planning to make some of my quilted pot holders and some aprons. I have a huge list of homemade gifts to make this year.
