Ah yes, the power of positive thinking. If I think it (or will it) it will be mine.

hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???????? - nope just checked the garage - No Bentley in it!

I think a positive attitude has a lot to do with things, but not to the extent that this "The Secret" makes it out to be. It's making the Author a heck of a lot of money though LOL!

I'll give it a read! Nothing wrong with a little more feel-good reading in this world.

I have the movie sitting here from Netflix.
I dont like extreme thinking one way or another. I assume I will watch it, take what I like and leave the rest.

I do know that whenever I make a huge decision in my life, I become obcessed. Sure enough each goal was obtained.

However I wished for normal things in life, no fancy cars or anything hahahahah.

But I DO believe if I really truly wanted a fancy car and got in gear I could make it happen.
To me its about hard work though hahaahahha.

If you want to discuss the movie or book more I would love to hear your thoughts.

I think it's more than just willing it to be yours.

Oprah had a show yesterday on it. The secret behind the Secret. It was insightful. I can't explain it well, but her website should say more about it. Or the forum there. But it made a lot of sense. A vision board is a great idea in helping with that. It doens't necessarily have the universe give it to you, but provide the means to get it for yourself. Focus on the positive and receive positive back. Focus on the negative and the universe feels that is what you're wanting, so it offers negative back. So a thankful journal, a vision board, self affirmations. Love yourself, let go of negative things. Forgive people in your past, let go. Doesn'tmean you have to see them, but release it, and let the good take over you. Be thankful for all things, big and small. Enjoy the good things in your life. Don't fret over everything. Good things will come.

Save your $$$ and put it towards your debt. Below is the link to watch for free.

Kind of reminds me a lot of Dianetics d/b/a; a/k/a Scientology). Anyone else feel that way?

I loved the book but thought the movie has just meh. Improving my attitude towards money and life in general helped me go from $25 in saving to over $650 in savings in just five months from the time I read The Secret and started applying it. (and that was before the child support payments ended) We (DH and I) had no additional income during the 5 months in question, the only explanation I have is that my whole outlook/attitude changed. We now donate regularly to three different charities and our savings continue to grow.

It has now been nine months total and we have almost $1700 squirreled away. Those dollar figures may not sound like much to some people, but I can assure you, for our income it's a big deal. I'm saving to put a new roof on my house.

I think a positive outlook in life improves the quality, for yourself, and for others around you.But I think the secret to success is hard work.

I haven't seen/read it but can attest that attitude towards anything can bring about positive things if that is the choice you make. Attitude, choice, reaction & hard work mean everything. You do have the power. Always room for change & learning.

It's not all cupcakes & sunshine but good can definitely come from bad, sad things. Don't give up and ask for help if you need it but strive for the standing on your own two feet, proud & spreading that around to others.
Doesn't get much better than that. No matter what it is that is holding you back, yes YOU can.

I saw Oprah yesterday and I truly believe (and always have) something that was said. The woman that wrote the book "You can Heal Your Life" said that if you love life, life is going to love you back. I am a positive person and I attract a lot of positive things and people. Again, though, I really believe in hard work. It's not always easy being so positive--that's hard work, too!

I recommend reading The Secret. I would also recommend reading The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

We got it last year and watched it over and over. To me it cuts to the heart of truth. You create what you believe, you see your life the way you choose, and you live the way you feel.....well, that's my take on it and on my life. Read it and see it if you can.

i have been reading it and am loving this book. it isn't about closing your eyes and wishing for a "Bentely" to appear in your garage. To me, this book is about being a positive person and wanting the best for yourself. Working hard for it and keeping your head pointed in the direction you want life to take you!

I am so loving this and it has only been day two of reading. Hubby is loving the new attitude and hoping it never goes away!

I just got a message that "The Secret" book that I put on hold is available.. I have a few other things on hold so I'll stop today & get them.....

I'm going to try & be more positive. I might even buy me a poster board & make me vision board. LOL
