Another "greenie" here

Hi everyone! I'm so impressed about all the neat things you can do on this website!!! My problem is that I'm such a "greenie" and I wonder how to keep score of the different things that you do on your messages. Some of the messages are so inspiring. How do you do it? I'm just looking around and this seems just what I need.

My income has declined drastically, so I am now trying to keep track of every penny I spend and stick to a tight budget. I try to make a "game" out of it! Also, I am eating mostly only foods that God has made and not what man has made. This helps, especially with a sugar addition, but grocery shopping and keeping the bill low is a challenge. I also would like to have any advice about paying off my mortgage within a few years.

So, any help or instructions anyone can give me will very much appreciated!

Hi Suzy, welcome!

There is a ton of wonderful advice here. I suggest searching for topics of interest and reading back posts.

I do have a small bit of advice as far as the mortgage. Even if its just an extra $5, put it on the mortgage consistantly, and over time and you will save literally months and hundreds or thousands of dollars over the life of your loan. Any extra you can squeeze out of your budget, I'd pay to your debts or mortgage.

We are all a little different here each has our own goals and reasons for being frugal and each of us is frugal in our own way.. there is no wrong way to be frugal.

If you go to user CP on the top left of the tool bar you can click edit your signature and add stuff from there. Track what is important to you, be it grocery spending, no spend days, debts, etc.
