Taking the plunge and greetings from Maine
Hi,
After several month of lurking, I decided to finally jump in both feet first and register.
I always thought of myself as a fairly frugal and budget oriented person but you ladies have absolutely taught me thing or two and quite frankly even if I were not the least bit interested or needed to be aware of how my dime is spent, after spending so much time reading post I think you ladies are about the coolest bunch I have ever encountered on any message board. Kudos to you all.
I am a Maine girl born and bred.
As my username suggest I have been married for 23 years coming up this May and have one very beautiful daughter who is a junior in college.
We have one stuffy, stodgey and very cantankerous (sp) cat. Just picture an old man in his smoking robe, puffing on a cigar, looking all imperious...That is our cat. He believes he is the higher life form in the family.
My main goal is to hopefully pay off a pretty high student loan and eventually save enough for EF, house etc.
I look forward to learning more as I go along and hopefully being able to contribute also.
Thanks for letting me ramble.

We are glad to have you on board. Maine is a beautiful state. You are a lucky woman to be born and raised there. Enjoy the village.

Welcome to the Village!

OK, I just have to know the name of this wonderful, stuffy, stodgy, very cantankerous cat of yours.

LOL, Mr. uptight's name is "Teko". It is pronounced tee-ko.
My daughter named him when she was in 5th grade. I can't for the life of me remember how she came up with it though.
He's got us all pretty well trained, I will say that about him.Last edited by LuvMyHubby; 02-09-2008 at 11:27 AM. Reason: add thought

Is that
Sir Teko
King Teko
His Imperial Royal Highness Teko
OR
Teko, Lord Comander of all the Land ??
Glad he's found a place to live that keeps him in the style he so rightfully deserves and is accustomed to.
