OMG... that's all I can say about this weather!
We have been in severe weather alert the past 2 days because of wind, squalls and flash freezing.
It's currently 10*F (-9 windchill) and we have winds up to 50 mph.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Ya'all wanna come help with chores? BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR is an UNDERSTATEMENT!!! It's 3 here, with WIND! And it makes the animals ALL nutso!
So far I've thrown hay and gathered all the frozen solid water buckets to bust out and refill, now I'm sitting here waiting for feeling to return to my feet! Still have to throw grain and then bust/refill all the buckets, only to do it again tonight!
If I don't show back up in an hour send out the national guard to look for a big puffy brown snow suit with a bright yellow hat frozen solid somewhere on my farm.
Did I say BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR yet?
BTW, Banana you might want to duck, I tend to SMACK people who bring up windchill, the temp alone is bad enough without that!

It's stinkin' cold here too. It was -15F w/ the wind chill this morning. I'm staying home until it's time to pick up the kids. Then I have a couple of errands, but hopefully it will have warmed up a little...

The bank clock says it's 16 degrees, but once you add the windchill, YIKES! The wind was blowing so hard last nite that I could hear the salt and sand on the roads banging against the windows, and the swinging power lines were squeeking. No wonder I didn't get any sleep - was worried the transformer across the street was gonna fall and land on the house!

My hubby (a mailman) is all bundled up for his long day out. Long johns, wool socks along with the rest of his stuff. My guess is he'll fall asleep immediately after dinner after walking in the cold, ice & snow all day. That happens often this time of year, I'll be out in the kitchen putting leftovers away, talking to him and then not get an answer, poor hard working guy has his head in his chest, sitting at the table asleep.

When I got up this morning @ 6 a.m. it was -4. It's now +6. And if that isn't bad enough....last week we got dumped on with 13 1/2 inches of snow and they are predicting 5 more inches starting late this afternoon

I just have to chime in....
I had -7 on the thermometer in my truck this morning. We were under a wind chill warning; I had never heard of that before.
Stay safe and warm everyone. There was an article in our paper last week about a mobile home fire started by a salamander (heater) being used under the house to thaw pipes.Jill
