    Default Hi From Grumpy - the Newbie! :)

    Hey All, my nickname is Grumpy! and here is my introduction!

    How did you hear about frugal village? By accident I'd say! Was surfing and might have happened on a blog that pointed me here or I was looking for Dave Ramsey stuff! LOL!

    What interests you here? I'm loving the gardening posts so far and my dh was busily complaining about our recent visa bill, along with wanting a new house.... so the frugal ideas are cool... I'm trying to figure out a way to drum up about $60,000 in savings so that dh can have his house on the mountain top - I don't care as long as it face west and we leave this here neighbourhood! LOL!

    What will you contribute? My love of surfing, my curiosity for anything and everything interesting... whatever I can!

    Do you know any other members here? Don't know haven't looked around much beyond the gardening forums!

    How many kids? Ages? Have 2 girls. One is 6.5 the other is 2.

    Tell us about yourself. I was born and raised by a tightwad - packrat dad and frugal but modest mum! I'm somewhere between the two... (yes including the packrat-hood! I love to craft, love the idea of being frugal but also environmentally friendly, desire to lose about 30 lbs and learn about growing my own produce - while slowly trying to convert to a healthy vegan diet - and I mean very slowly! All while not totally breaking the budget!

    Occupation? SAHW, SAHM and Homeschool Mom!

    Married or single? Happily married to my dh of almost 10 yrs

    Interests and hobbies? Anything that sounds interesting! Actually at the moment, I love to knit, sew, crochet, digital scrapbook and am working on gardening, becoming frugal, simplifying my lifestyle and well ya get the picture!

    2012 Grocery Budget Reduction Challenge- $100 a month. (down from $150) Hm, might be too low.
    Electric Usage Challenge (doing well, under $70 most months)

    Hello all and thank you for the welcome!

    I've had the nickname since highschool when I was a grumpy until lunch - give me a coke and a chocolate bar and a turn into a nice person! LOL! Re-inherited the name when I went to work - quickest way to change my mood - 1 coke 1 chocolate bar = 1 free smile! LOL!
