snow days
here's something i'm wondering.
we all remember how much we loved getting a snow day, and our kids reflect that same enthusiasm.
i don't mind snow days or delays here and there. it's like an extra special day to do something fun - inside preferably!
so either if you have things planned or it's an extra snow day - do you ever feel sometimes that you can't do the things you want because the kids/family are home on a weekday?

Yes! I created a post similar to this this morning! I have a routine and it does mess with it a bit, but that's okay. It is nice to have a day with them. My youngest still hasn't gotten out of his pajamas, yet!

This is our first (and probably only) snow day!! My DD is too young to go to school, but I teach and I love them. BUt, hubby has his own business and decided to stay home with us. Ugh! I don't think I'll get half the things done that I wanted to! But all three of us did go out earlier this morning for DD's first expierence with snow. We had freezing rain last night, so even the snow is really crunchy. Not real fun to play in, but hey I'm home and not at work.

Heh, heh...... I got snow days as a kid, and then again as an adult because I was a teacher! And hubby was a teacher also. So snow days meant that all of us were home together. It just made a nice lazy day of long cooking chili, games, sleeping late...... For us, it was wonderful.

It throws my routine off also but my sd won't even go out and play. She'd rather sit and stare into space than go get some fresh air. Her dad blew up an innertube to use and that lasted about 10 minutes and she was right back in here. She thinks she should sit around with adults and be one too.
