    Default Finally and Aldi

Finally my city of Lexington, Ky is getting an Aldi! You'd think with a pop of 250k plus we'd had one by now! It officially opens this week!

That's great, I was just thinking that I need to go to mine this week and stock up on baking supplies. I'm also interested to see if their prices have gone up like out local grocery store has.

Yep the prices have gone up. You can still get some good deals but prices have risen

We still don't have an Aldi anywhere near me. In fact, I never even heard of it until I came to this forum. I just searched their store locater and there is one near Philadelphia, but it's 20 miles from me... which is a long way in an urban area. I wish they'd expand near me!

I haven't heard of them either. I obviously have never lived in a state that had them. Sounds like (from this forum) that they have good prices so I wish we did have one nearby.

Aldi is mainly North/Eastern seaboard as far as store locations, but they are spreading out

I'm falling back in love with Aldi...mainly for the produce and some canned goods, like soup & spaghetti o's.

I really like Aldi's. The Aldi in our town closed shortly before we moved here. I drive about 30 miles to go to Aldi's once a month.

We even have an Aldi (without the 's') here in my little town in Holland. Aldi is everywhere here. It's from origin a German chain I think.

I went there yesterday and spent about $60. I got a lot of food though. My DH always asks me what it is like to not have any taste buds. I really don't taste that much of a diff., but my DH can.

The last time I went to one (which was a long time ago), I spent so much money, I thought the prices were much higher then they used to be. I was really disappointed. I would rather go to a closer store and just use coupons and sales.
