I should post these, so here is number 1. This first one i wrote while watching my kids. It has been included in a book for european missionaries.


A Mother’s Prayer
As I sit and fold the clothes
And watch my children play,
I think of what my life has been
And then to God I pray.
Oh Lord, as I watch these children grow,
Help me teach the ways they ought to go.


Help them Lord to understand the many things I do
To give to them a helping hand
The way I know you do.
And give to me the strength of
To let these children go.
As I end this mother’s prayer,
Let me teach them day by day
To follow in your way.
