    Exclamation Time to Panic

    I am beyond the crying stage at this point... hovering in sheer survival mode.

    The Old Man came home from work an hour late. Mind you he works 10 minutes away. I thought something was wrong.

    He walked in, gave me a hug and wouldn't let go... now I know there is something wrong...

    He handed me a copy of his works schedule next week... I skimmed down the list figuring his boss had once again played with his hours. I skimmed... and skimmed... and even flipped the page over. There was no Old Man listed on the schedule.

    He told me his boss had seen him do the very thing with the schedule and asked him if there is something wrong...

    Is there something wrong????

    Old Man asked him if he was fired. His boss said no, he just doesn't "have any hours next week and may not have any the week after that, was there a problem with that?"

    So... I made DD dinner, hugged the Old Man again and said I had some errands to run and may as well go now since I was getting cabin fever from having the flu all week.

    Here I am at DD dad's house, I didn't want them to see me go in to a full panic attack... Momma is too strong for that... everything will be okay as long as Momma is breathing...

    Well, Momma is petrified! There is NO money in the bank, as a matter of fact, we still owe $300 this month. There is NO money coming in for next month as of right now.

    I don't even know where to start.
    I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

    I am so sorry to hear that. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
    “When you get to the end of all the light you know
    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”
    — From a translation of an inscription on
    an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference
    .

    Big hugs going out to you right now, LadyV. Do y'all have anything you can sell to help make up the $300 for the month? I know both you and your guy must be just totally in a panic right now. Unfortunately, I understand what you mean by having to be the one who keeps it all together. Just know we're all here for you. Let us know what happens.

    omg i can't even begin to imagine... i'm absolutely terrified of the same thing happening to us.

    however, can either of you go out tomorrow and get part time jobs?
    even if it's at a local store greeting people or whatever.

    part time hours somewhere else is better than none at all.

    hon, i can't think of anything else to say...
    we're here for you and hoping for the absolute best for you!!

    I would be in panic mode myself. That is terrible. I do hope that something good comes your way. Thoughts, prayers and (((HUGS)))!
