Oh thank you for quitting. I will pray that you can do it with ease. My sister died at age 50 from lung cancer. She smoked since she was 13. Please don't put your family through what mine went through. It has be 13 years and I miss her everyday since she was my only sister. Best of luck and remember the prayers are out there for you.

I wish the best for you but I did not do well on the chantix....... made me nauseated and full of gas.... also felt odd... I have months worth and plan to try again to see if I have a different result after a break off them.
I read it gives some people suicidal thoughts so be aware and stop taking them if you find yourself getting very sad. Didn't happen to me but I was too busy passing gas 24/7.

I'm a newlywed, and can't be tooting up a storm like that ( embarrasing)

Congrats! I know you can do it but I've heard some things on the news about chantix, I hear it can cause depression and suicidal tendencies, might want to check into it before you get it.

My mom is doing wonderfully on it. She has tried to quit so many times, so I am glad it's working for her. She is currently on Welbuterin anyway, so maybe that would explain the lack of side effects

thanks all.
i am taking some other meds for fibromyalgia, so that may be why i am not having those ^bad^ side effects.
i have smoked since i was 12. the only time that i have not smoked, was when i was pregnant.
i did quit for three years, but had some major changes in my life and started again. i really wish that i hadn't started again.
so again, thanks all and please keep me in your thoughts!
