    Default My March Grocery Price Alert

    Okay, I went to HEB & these are the price differences that I found on the items that we purchased:

    Bar S Franks .77 - .74
    10# Hamburger 14.90 - 15.40
    Sun Vista canned pinto beans 1.19 - .99
    HCF black olives 1.13 - .99
    HCF refried beans .50 - .59
    HCF creamed corn .46 - .50
    Kikkoman teriyaki sauce 1.77 - 1.68
    HCR powdered milk 12.99 - 13.59

    You'd better sit down for the last one..............
    HCF Corn oil (1gal) 5.44 in Jan - 6.25 in Feb - this month 8.49

    Well gosh. I have to buy Smart Balance Omega 3,6's oil which is already higher as dh has high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes but I don't FRY anything so it lasts forever.

    We don't have HEBS

    We have Super One foods, Brookshires, Super walmart,Albertsons

    HEB is the grocery store chain that is located in Texas - they are a monopoly...gggrrr...my other choice is Walfart- but I won't shop there for groceries. 1. b/c its too far from my house & 2. their prices are higher on their food....gggrrr.

    Some good some bad. Does it all even out in the end for you though or does it put a ding in your grocery budget?
