Default How would you describe your clothing

style? I had coffee with two friends yesterday and we're all so different. One of them is ultra conservative and wears very nice, classic styles (think L.L. Bean style), the other one has a very funky style. I think I'm somewhere between the two. I love wearing "different" pieces of clothing, even if sometimes I get a look like "WTH is that all about?"

So how would you describe your style?

Well, I probably have no sense of fashion style. My closet is filled with odds and ends of gifts, bargains, close outs, home made disasters, and a few nice things. Sometimes I have thought about what Stacey and Clinton from "What Not To Wear" would think of my closet. Probably they would die laughing.........

My style is pretty conservative: no low necklines, no exposed belly, no tight fit around the derriere. I like a tailored look for the most part when I am out and about. At home, I wear "slob" clothes for cleaning, painting, and other dirty jobs. Otherwise, I wear sweats or jogging pants and TShirts around the house. I don't like too much fluff, ruffles, and that sort of thing. I prefer clothes to be rather plain, and of neutral colors.

More than anything, I prefer comfort over fashion. I wear flat shoes, not heels. I want clothes that I can move in and not feel constricted.

Well, let's see. I am sitting here in my Eddie Bauer Jeans and my $ 3.00 solid green walmart v-neck tshirt. I am wearing a white hoodie from Target, and my tennies. Yep, that about describes my style. Comfy soccer mom, yet pulled together. for example: I was at the grocery store today, and I ran into the grocery game lady in our area (we've become shopping aquantances), anyway, she told me that I looked really nice?!?!?!?! Yea, it was the 3.00 walart tshirt, I'm sure. But, I also always put on makeup and always fix my hair, so add a bright coloured tshirt, a hoodie, and pair of jeans, and you've got ME, on most days!

I dress for comfort. Most of the time I am in a casual dress and sandals or slip on shoes. In the evening I change into my nightgowns. Pants and me don't mix to well I'm short 5' and pants and a shirt just cut me in half and make me look shorter.

Gently used ...99% of my clothes come from thrift stores or yard sales...so there really isn't much style to them. I'm a blue jeans kinda gal!

I usually wear jeans, cowboy boots, a big 'ole cowboy belt buckle and a plain fitted top. No exposed midriffs here, don't mind low cut but certainly not too low.
Occassionally I'll wear a button up weatern style shirt.
During the summer I may wear a dress or skirt here and there. Dress much more girly during the summer and even give up my beloved cowboy boots on occassion for wedges.

jean shorts (summer and winter until the day's high is below freezing) and jeans after it gets cold enough

henley or a button up the front short sleeved shirt in the winter or early spring or late fall

tank top underneath the button up the front short sleeved shirt when it is starting to warm up (late spring or early fall)

    tank top in the summer

I totally dress for comfort. I also have three boys, wash and wear clothes are my bestest friends.

    Most of my clothes are:

    thrift store finds.

hand me downs from other people.

or they are shirts that I stole from my husband (bad color for him) or he didn't like them (didn't fit quite right) or they started wearing out to much for him to wear to work (office environment).

I think the easiest way to describe me is girly tomboy. I like pink, sparkly things and snug jeans. I'll pair these with t shirts and sneakers. Or sometimes I'll wear heels...I guess it depends on my mood

at home I dress for comfort because I work despite being home and can get very dirty, sweaty and gross, so I dress for comfort. I have a coverall I wear when doing anything outside like gardening or painting.
When not at home I tend to dress casual and conservative, levis jeans and a nice top with some nice leather sandals.
Its nice not having to dress up like I did for so many years at work where my clothing had to be impeccible and stylish, the hair and makeup perfect... which took up so much of my time.
I so enjoy being casual now and sometimes even go without makeup, just because I can now !

When I leave the house I am almost always in my best pair of jeans and a classic button up shirt. NO T-shirts out of the house. At least not the the kind of t-shirt a man would wear. But I do wear them at home. My prefered style would be something like Tommy Hilfiger or Liz cCaiborne. When I worked at Dillards I had to look great everyday and some of that stuck with me but I don't mess as much with the makeup.

I tend to dress a lot more classic in the Winter months....turtlenecks, khaki pants, wool sweaters, knee socks (lol)....in the summer I dress a bit more "now". But all in all, I am a casual dresser...mostly pants, capris and shorts.

~Conservative vintage. I don't expose very much skin becasue I don't like babysitting my neckline or hemline in public. So I'm conservative in a modest way. But I like pretty weird vintage stuff. Eye-popping colors, prints, weird 70's trend stuff, big gawdy jewelry, ect. I dress like the standard young brunette artist type you find on craftster and etsy, without skulls, lol! There is absolutely NOTHING edgy in my wardrobe and there never will be.~

I love jeans so almost every top in my closet will 'go with' jeans. I wear lots of long sleeve t-shirts and sweaters in the winter but when we go out I'll wear a nice long sleeve something with a leather jacket or vest or something like that. I do like some frilly (think pirate shirt) things too and even have some lacey things as well. I'd say I'm somewhere in the middle of jeans/classic (with black semi-heals) with a little (teensy) bit of funky mixed in I do like the *now* clothes but being my age it's not always that easy to find things that don't look like I'm trying to look a lot younger (and obviously aren't) in them (on the clearance rack or in thrift stores obviously.... ).

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~
