    Default Back from vacation!

For March Break, the kids and I drove down to Arkansas to see my folks. The drive down was through the blizzard, so, not too fun. My poor dad is not doing so well.

I did something I have wanted to do for a while. I had purchased this "Grandparent's Journal" a little while back. I sat down with my dad and wrote down the story of his life. It brings me to tears to think of this treasure he and I created together. My dad is nearly 85, and his health has been shaky lately. He tells me, though that he plans to make it to his 100th bifthday party. I really hope that is true.

The girls were spoiled completely rotten. They had a blast seeing all sorts of people who love them. As well, I had budgeted some clothing money for all of us and we got some great buys.

My parents both started coming down with a flu-bug on the last day we were there and now the kids and I have it. A nasty cough, but that is about it, no fever or anything for us.

Anyway, if y'all missed me, now you know of our adventures!

I'm so glad you got to spend some important time with your Dad. Having his life story in print is a keepsake to be treasured for years & years. Hope he has many more chapters to add too.
My FIL recently did his autobiography and I learned bunches I didn't know before. I'm so glad he took the time.

I am glad you were able to spend some time with your dad and mom. Sorry to hear he is not doing well and I hope he improves. My dad will be 70 pretty soon and I worry about him too.

I'm sure you and your family will treasure the memory book over the years to come!

Karen, I'm glad you and your girls were able to spend time with your parents. The Grandparent journal is something that your girls will treasure forever. Both of my parents are gone and there's so many questions I wished I had asked.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip aside from
everyone getting sick. Great idea the journal is.
Wish my parents would consider something like
    that.
