I don't know how much the car insurance comp will pay. We have a loan on the car and I called for the payoff today and it is 8820. I looked up the blue book value of the car and it is almost $8000. I do have a $250 deductible, so I'm hoping that they will pay it off but I don't know.

Thank you all for your concern.
We have just about all the insurance stuff done... they are paying 2000 less than what we owe. We had paid for a warranty which had almost a year and a half to go and should probably get about $600 back for that - depending if they go by mileage or time. If they go by time, it might be a little more. We are just going to wait for the bank to let us know how much we owe. I have an extra 700-800 in checking right now that was supposed to go to paying off a credit card but I decided against that. We are just going to pay our $240 payment next month and then fully pay off the loan the first week of May with the tax rebate. I don't want to add it to the loan we will be getting for the next car. I think it's better to just pay it off now.
We've been researching and test driving vehicles, and decided on a 2007 grand caravan with 22,000 miles on it for $12999. It has stow n go but not quads. It's really nice and we love it. we go tomorrow morning to fill out paperwork. It will be so nice to have the double stroller with us AND be able to get groceries.. lol.
Oh and the insurance is paying for new car seats. we just have to bring receipts and old car seats to the agent. We originally paid $129 for ds's (goes with the double stroller) and $79 for dd's seat that goes from 20-100 pounds. We were looking and baby depot has a convertible that goes from 5-100 pounds for $139, so this is what we will be getting for ds. he's getting too heavy to haul in a car seat anyways (the little tank weighs 18 pounds at 4 months). And we found a car seat for dd for $69 that goes up to 100 pounds. We bought one tonight since we had dh's uncle's car and will buy the other tomorrow after we get the minivan.

I am glad everyone is okay!! How about a car now? Is it totaled? Will insurance pay for a replacement? I know sometimes Murphy visits at the very most inconvenient time! Take care and best wishes!!
