Default What Are Some Frugal Things That You Did Today?

Recalling my day,I sat back & thought of how many things I did that were frugal & realized that I never think twice when I'm just going about my daily business - I just do what comes naturally to me.

I washed a full load of clothes in cold water & hung it out to dry
I consolidated all of my shampoo samples into one bottle - did the same for my samples of body wash
I made rags out of old clothing instead of throwing it all in the trash.
Early this morning when it was getting light out, I could see well enough to shower without having to turn the light on (dh makes me mad by turning the light on when the light from the window will do)lol.

What frugal things do you do without thinking about it?

I cooked dinner and made enough to make other meals from. I did laundry and folded it up too. Also cleaned the kitchen up and its sparklin' clean right now.
I also tried to move some investment money from a 401K to a IRA but got frustrated with the paperwork so I'll work on that in the morning.

I did not spend a cent today or use any gas to go anywhere and used several cans from my stockpile, which is good.

Made my husband his lunch for thursday and put all the trash out for pickup.

I read all about the presidentail canidates Mc Cain and Barack Hussein Obama ( his middle name is hussein I am not being sarcastic)
    and
because of that I feel good that I will make an informative voter when I vote for anybody but obama.

    a productive day in frugal-ville.

A good day although not very exciting or anything... I did not plan on any of it... the way I live with household things comes very natural and I dont have to plan to be frugal. I just am.

Automatically shutting off lights and turning the computer off & shutting the power strip off to the puter & its accessories when I leave the room(s). I didn't realize how much juice all my puter stuff used even when turned off!!! Using the last of the water in my drinking glass to water the plants, hope they can't catch the flu.

I always use cold water for laundry, have for years so I guess that's nothing new for me anyway.
