Hire my dh ... please!
Second week of dh being unemployed and he is driving me crazy. I don't know what I'm going to do when he retires.

But he had three interview last week, on already this week and one tomorrow. So it's just a matter of time. He's putting out lots of resumes. He has a good chance at a job in another city -- about 45 miles away. More money and a change of location -- that could be very good for us.
He really needs to go back to work so I can get somthing done -- he is really messing up my schedule.
So will someone hire my dh... pllllleeeeeeeeeeeeease!

I feel your pain...my hubby ended up retired due to disability several years ago and I am still not used to him being under foot all the time...drives me batty!!!
On the upside with the interviews, resumes and the effort he seems to be making I doubt he'll be unemployed for long!!!"Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans." John Lennon

I feel your pain! With construction coming to a stand still here DH was home from October til last week. I was to the point I would have PAID someone to hire him.
On the up side got the livingroom, diningroom and kitchen repainted. Got all the woodwork in the house repainted. Got a leak on the back porch fixed. Got the shed and garage cleaned out. Go my truck washed and serviced. Had all the flower beds weeded and remulched.
Every morning over breakfast I'd remind him of a little project he had put on the side to do when he had time. Now he had time and we made use of it.
I'm actually starting to miss not having him come in the afternoon and ask, "What's for lunch?"

Thank you to those who have been supportive during this time. I appreciate the sympathies extended by those who have had hubbies at home. It's good to know someone else feels my pain.
The reason I hadn't responded yet is I have been trying to figure out what to do about the lard comments. I know they were meant as a joke -- but as someone who watched a loved one die as the result of an unhealthy lifestyle it's just not funny.Last edited by quiltergirl2; 03-21-2008 at 06:59 AM.
