I had to tell my 16 yr old yds...
yesterday that on Thursday his friend committed suicide. The boys was 15 and posted a note on myspace saying he loved his parents and it was not their fault. He then went into his room and shot himself. His mother found him. I can not imagine the hell she is going thru. When I told yds he wanted to know why. Mitch didnt give a reason in his note. Yds and he bowled together on the youth league and on the high school league. I think yds is in a bit of shock.

That's terrible. That must've been a very difficult thing for you to have to do. Lots of hugs going out to you and your DS and saying prayers for this young man's family.

I am so sorry, I can't imagine how the mother is coping. My prayers are with the young man's family and your son. My aunt found my cousin 4 years ago (a couple days before Easter). He didn't leave a note, no explaination why. He cashed out his life insurance policy and left it on the table in the house. My cousin left behind a 3 year old son and I'm sure his mother is still destroyed inside (especially since she found him). He was 34 years old, so we can only imagine what caused him to make this choice.

Oh no...what a senseless tragedy. I am so sorry for the boys' family and yours.
How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

My sympathies to the family and your son.

My thoughts and prayers are with your son and his friends family. Teenage suicide (or any for that matter) is just heartwrenching.

In the 6th grade a boy I knew was killed... he was a friend I would play with sometimes... it devestated me and I'm not sure if I ever got over it. They didn't have counseling in the schools back then for this type of thing and I feel it should be discussed openly with kids when classmates die/ are killed or commit suicide.
Suicide is a tough one...... even for adults to understand.
