Greetings from the DC area!
Hi everyone! I actually joined the forum last summer, but never jumped into any discussions. I really, really, REALLY could use some frugal adjustments to my lifestyle--I'm trying to keep my head above water!
How did you hear about frugal village? I just googled "frugal" and found it!
What interests you here? The sense of community and support--the challenges, the way I have other people to help me out with my goals and also have the ability to help others out!
What will you contribute? Well, I hope to be encouraging and to share any thoughts and ideas I have about saving money and time.
Do you know any other members here? Not yet!
How many kids? Ages? No kids!
Tell us about yourself. Hard to know what to say! I live in a very expensive area of the world and need to find ways to cut costs and/or increase income! LOL!
Do you own any pets? Just one crazy cat.
Occupation? I have 2 jobs--a library assistant at a graduate school and a funeral assistant.
Married or single? Single, but have been with my boyfriend for 6 years.
Interests and hobbies? Reading, crocheting & knitting, movies, video games.

Hello and
to the village. I can surely empathize with you on how expensive your area is to live/work in. Our ds and ddil live there and we are shell shocked everytime we go for a visit over the prices of things. We ate at a BBQ place once that for 4 brisket sandwiches, chips and water was over $40!!! Omg we about died. Here that would have been $18 or less. Anyway, read lots here you can glean many great ideas and hints that will help you a LOT.
