    Default Took the girls out...

We had a girls night out. my 2 oldest girls are having birthdays, on in 2 days and one in 2 weeks, so I planned a girls night out for their birthday. We went to see Hannah Montana at the theatre. It was really cute, the girls loved it, the special effects witht he 3D were wild! THey are on cloud nine!

All that's left is making a cake and getting the aunts uncles and grandparents over for cake(made by me for $3..lol).

This year their gifts are practical, a set of spring clothes that are flexible with current wardrobe(bought on sale with coupons and gas coupons, making about 35% off+). DD8 will get a set of facial cleansers as is our tradition when you turn 9, you start learning to care for your skin this is a transition to makeup at 10, can't care for skin, you don't get make up, period. Yes it sounds young, however with dd11, it has worked wonderfully. She has all the makeup she needs, a nice pale shadow that suits her, gloss and clear mascara. Initially she wore it daily, now only for special occasions. Before that everytime they went to a friends house they came back painted like a lady of the evening. Now she has no need to do that. I also taught her the appropriate way to wear, it's to enhance your features, not dramatize. Now if she wears it 1 time a month I'd be surprised, but she doesn't need to sneak it. That is what I was aiming for.

And I'm thinking a spring break 1 day course on scrap booking($10 supplies included). They have lots o fpictures of things, so I think this would be good. We have lots of supplies for them here.

    They grow TOO fast!

Sounds like so much fun. I have so many special memories of girls day with my dd. She's in college now and I miss our special days, few and far between with her so far away.
