    Default i quit my job!

i put in my 2 week notice this week. i work with an autistic man, 1:1 in a very small 1 bedroom apartment 8 hours a day. he is so verbally abusive it is un real. he is also a controll freak and has made me sit in the dark for hours and tells me i can't go to the bathroom. it is not so much the man that is the problem, it is the company. i volunterred to work saturday night over night, myshift ended at 6:30 sunday morning. still plenty of time to get to church. at 8:30 i was still there, not one supervisor was picking up my calls. when my relief finally showed up i asked what time he was supposed to be there and he said 8:30! that the boss had told him it was ok! i missed our family breakfast and services. this is not the only time something has happened. i asked for a transfer, was told they had to have some one to take my spot, when they found someone they had to find some one to take his spot. anyway now i have to figure out how to make our budget work. i found a part time job, 1/2 the pay, 1/2 the hours. really not many places to cut back. wish me luck

Good luck. I recently made a similar decision and I'm already thinking it's the best thing I've ever done.

GOOD FOR YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS FOR TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!! It sounds like you made the best decision to maintain your mental health. I am praying that you will be blessed with something better and/or you will find a way to keep your financial situation afloat.

((((hugs)))) I know so many people who have worked as home aides for companies that get treated the way you have just described!!! Have you considered running an ad and picking your own client? Many times families in my situation look for respite care, perhaps you could try doing that on your own. I would much rather hire a private individual than a company any day of the week.

OMG! I'm glad you're outta there! I second the idea of putting an ad in the paper or on craigslist.org--maybe you can find your own client.
