We participated and the kids had a blast. We all got in the big king sized bed and just had fun talking and laughing. I don't think anyone else at our apartment complex participated.

I did this last night [well, kind of!]
My ex sister-in-law was here at the time so I actually ended up doing it an hour late [from 9-10 p.m.] but ...
Though all lights were off, I did still have the T.V. on so maybe that was kind of cheating?
Either way, I'm sure it saved a little and then too, I may try to make this a regular thing [once a week or something like that.]

I tried to participate in this. My own downfall was that I had the tv on for 20 minutes b/c I fell aslsep in the dark! My dad came to me at 7.55pm and was demanding that I turned off all the lights. I know he had his tv on as well but that was it.
Every little bit helps. Our local news station kept showing the city w/o its lights on, except for the necessary ones. Wow was that ever cool to see!
