What about using his "snack" foods as a reward. "Take a bite of this wonderful cereal and you get a cheerio as a reward." It might be a bit of screaming and a power struggle, but as long as you don't back down, he will at least learn to try new foods. Once he accepts one bite for one reward, make it two bites for one reward.

I never did what the Drs said .
I went by the tried and true.
My mom had 7 of us at home.
She had 18 granchildren, 30 some odd great grandchildren
my aunt had 8 and about 20 grandchildren and a bunch of great gran children
my other uncle's wife had 12.
An a n oddle of grands and great and a few great grands.
We have all brought them up the same.
You'll just have to try and see what works for you.

Thanks for all the advice......lol but he will not eat a hard boiled egg, toast, bananas etc. I guess I will just offer it, and if he don't eat it, then he will eventually eat. Plus he still has his formula.

It is trying on the nerves, but it all evens out. Also take into mind all the changes this little one has been dealing with. What he eats is about all he can control in his little life.

The nurses say that you can't say a child doesn't like a food until you present it to them almost 20 times. Yeah, it's a pain but oh well. When it comes to food and the under age 2 crowd I am not the tough love kind of gal. I did my tough love w/ my ds when he turned 5. He's perfectly fine.
