    Unhappy My poor niece...

I feel so bad for my eldest niece, her hubby quit his job without having another job about 2 months ago and things are going downhill quick. She called me last night and I could tell she was upset, gave her an ear for a bit and actually made her laugh a little.

Today she showed up by herself while we were eating dinner, so I fed her and we played some video games. I wish I knew what to tell her, but there isn't an easy answer to her problem. I thought she was going to ask to borrow money, since she had talked about shutoffs...but, she didn't...luckily. I did tell her to go sign up for foodstamps and emergency needs for herself & the girls. I also gently suggested that perhaps she should look for a job, since her hubby doesn't seem to be inclined to do so...afterall someone has to have an income.

I sure hope the clouds break for her pretty soon...please send good thoughts and prayers her way. She is a wonderful person...

Keeping them in my thoughts and prayers. That's a tough situation and tough for you to watch, I'm sure. Is there a reason why her husband doesn't look for a job?

Thank you!!! He had good intentions to start with, but he's not following through on anything. I think he's setting his sight too high when it comes to starting pay...thinks he's worth more than he in reality is going to get...

Sending good thoughts and prayers and hoping he finds something good soon. Maybe he needs a reality check, I mean nowadays you never get what your wroth right away, he needs to have patience and worry about just providing for the family, even if it means taking a low paying job to start.

Sending good thoughts her way! Tracy is right, especially in today's economy. It is awful hard for someone looking for work to find one that pays what they think they are worth. However, anything is better than nothing. And he can always keep looking after he finds something.
I agree that at this point your neice should probably start looking too.

I agree with them needing a reality check. Meanwhile you are doing the right thing by being emotionally supportive.
    Spiritual:

    Financial:
Debt free, hoping to stay that way!
