    Default Have to brag on my bike deal

    DH and I took the kids to browse at Toys R Us last week in anticipation of DD's birthday tomorrow. We planned to get her a bike-- she liked the purple Disney princess one. The one we wanted was $79 unassembled at TRU, with a $10 charge for assembly. (We were debating on the charge vs. putting it together late at night in our garage.)

    I asked DH to wait and let me check WalMart first.... well, today I went to WalMart and picked up the same bike, already assembled, for $59!

    DD will be so surprised & I'm happy with what we paid. My first bike was one of my most treasured childhood possessions. I can't wait to surprise her with this one tomorrow!

    I absolutely loved my first bike....blue with tony the tiger tassels(I hope I am not dating myself too much!) I rode that thing everywhere!

    Congrats on your good deal and happy birthday to your daughter. We generally always buy bikes at Target or Walmart, because they are put together and they don't charge a fee for putting them together.
    I was in super walmart last week and they had a blue scwinn bike with a banana seat, I so wanted that bike, reminded me of the yellow one I got for my 5th birthday.
