    Default Finally....a break!!

I cannot believe it myself. My brother (the former drug addict and jailbird) has been clean/sober for 9 months now. He actually came home this week to give me and DH a vacation from caring for Momma! He won't be spending the night at Momma's house but will come by everyday until Sunday from 9-5 so we can get out of the house.

He went to her doctor's appointment with her yesterday and everything went perfectly. I'm still in shock.

Its such a blessing when family can step up & help out. Perhaps this will be the first of many visits to come. Enjoy your "time off" & relax. Hope your brother will continue on the road to recovery.

That's really good news, not only for your brother's sake, but for the entire family. It's so hard when a loved one has those types of problems, my baby sister died at the age of 38 due to those types of problems. I miss her, every single day.

Good for him!! My brother has been clean and sober for 19 years now and has really turned his life around. I wish your brother a lifetime of success in his sobriety.
