Friday was a good day here.....

To start off with, the radio station we listen too started this program called 50/50 Friday's. They have 100 gift certificates that are for $50 and you can get them for $25 (plus a $3 processing fee). It started at 9am and I kept refreshing the page from about 8:58 on until the "Buy" button appeared. I got in my info in and got my confirmation number, refreshed the page again and they were all gone.

Then about 11:30 Joe called to tell me that everything had been finalized with his old co. and he would be starting back to work on Wed.

Finally the same radio station has an office scavenger hunt that the afternoon DJ announces on Friday's. I told the guys I work with all week that we were going to try to win it. I figured with 5-7 other stores in our parking lot, the odds of us finding all the items was good, then all we had to do was get them copied and faxed in the fastest. They announced the list:

A classic rock cd
a comb
a tea bag
and a hershey bar

Well, funny enough someone had shipped a hershey bar with us that day (1 down 3 to go)
I went to Subway for a tea bag and got an old Aerosmith CD as well (3 down 1 to go), then the girl at the cash advance place just happened to have a comb with her (only because there was a brush in there she liked and it was a combo pack.)

Well I threw everything on the copier, dialed the fax number and it wasn't busy so I knew I had at least gotten thru (it was maybe 4 minutes after they announced the items).

20 minutes later the phone rang and the caller ID said "Citadle Broadcasting" I was laughing so hard when I answered the phone. Anyway, I won. I got $50 in Sonic gift cards that I have to pick up next week.

So Friday was a good day here, Joe got a job and I got $100 worth of food gift cards for $28
