Default Why do I love my friend so much?

We were best friends when we were little kids but drifted apart as we reached our teenage years, rarely did we ever see each other when we went our seperate ways. I recently did some soul searching and rekindled our friendship. I've been happier and grateful that she's back in my life. I'd do anything for her. I never really had any friends besides her. I do have "fair-weather" friends but I wouldn't do anything with most of them because they're either co-workers or people I know at Church. Also, my financial budget is tight and I hate to drive.

Aw, frugalandsimple, what a nice sentiment. Friends are important.

I have 3 friends who I have been best friends with since we were in 2nd grade. Throughout the years, who was better friends with who changed, but it was always the 4 of us, no matter what.

As adults, we all live completely different lives. One of us is engaged and is a graphic designer/photographer who travels the world. Another is single and a National Account Director for Yahoo! and is making a high 6 figure salary and living in NYC. The third is a stay-at-home mom in PA, and then there is me, a teacher and mother of 3 in NJ. Very different lives, but we get together a few times a year and it is always like no time has passed.

When times are tough, we call on each other and just knowing they are out there for me makes a lot of things more bearable.

So, I understand why you love your friend so much. It's why I love my girls as well.

Friends are great! I have a best friend who has only been my best friend for 3 years now and I don't ever want to lose her. She's talking of moving out of state and ya know what? I KNOW we will keep in touch.

I'm so glad you have a good friend.
