YankeeMom, can I ask...
I like to read the "what's for dinner" threads and you always are having really great sounding meals. But you have also lost 20 pounds recently. So my question is...with such good food on the table, how are you losing the weight? What's your secret?

Portion control

I eat the same foods my family does for dinner. I just eat one helping and measure my portions.
I eat breakfast, lunch, & dinner every day...plus 2-3 snacks. Dinner is usually my biggest meal calorie-wise. Breakfast is usually the smallest.
You can go to my sparkpage and see exactly what I eat every day here:

LOL!
I'm the same way, Yankeemom is one of the people I look to for cooking 'inspiration', having cooked now for 42 years or so (I was the oldest daughter and was cooking at 9 or younger, while growing up, so I count every bleeping year, LOL) and I am SOOO sick of cooking. -----YM has the greatest sounding meals!
It is just dh and me, now, so cooking is less but always--endlessly--still there to do.
This portion control concept is new to me.
Does this mean less than a heaping plateful? No seconds?
Umm....not sure I could do that.
Terrific self-control and will-power, Yankeemom! Congrats on the weight loss!
