    Default Funniest Movie You've Seen

    One of my dear friends lost her dog Saturday. She passed away late Saturday night and she was very attached to her. I was thinking of making her a "had a bad day" basket. I thought I might include some chocolate, bubble bath, herbal tea, scented lotion, new book, a batch of cookies and maybe a funny movie.

    Just wondering what is the funniest movie you've seen. I want to get her a movie that will really make her have one of those fall-off-your-chair laughs.

    Some Like it Hot is, by far, the funniest movie EVER. I am not the only one who says this. The movie experts agree. Get it and prepare to laugh until you hurt!

    How about "There's Something About Mary, The Princess Bride, or Monty Python's The Holy Grail" depending on her tastes?

    DH, DD and DS love Talladega Nights (personally, it is not a laugh out loud movie to me). The three of them watch it all of the time and just laugh, and laugh and laugh.

    I agree with Something About Mary.

    I also LOVE Adam Sandler. Big Daddy, Waterboy, 50 First Date and Happy Gilmore are all funny.

    I am a big fan of Chevy Chase and even just his facial expressions in any "Fletch" movie have me holding my sides laughing.

    You are such a great friend for doing that! The world needs more people like you!

    we watched a comedian the other night named Jeff Dunham...he was absolutely hillarious! We also rented Though Shall Laugh. Both were clean comedy.

    Oh Brother Where Art Thou? with George Clooney and I also like Sister Act with Whoopi Goldberg.
    “When you get to the end of all the light you know
    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”
    — From a translation of an inscription on
    an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference
