To put it mildly we had some severe weather come through last night.
It started storming and all of a sudden it sounded like we were under some sort of military ambush. Look outside, and there is hail...not just little pebbles, but golf ball sized hail!
When it was all said and done, we had a busted window pane (it was double pane glass window) in our front room. Thankfully our cars parked under the carport are okay, but some of our neighbors have shattered windshields and very dented body work right now.
On top of that we got at least 2 inches of rain, plus the tornado sirens went off most of the night. The two youngest never woke up, even with the hail hitting us.
All the area schools are out today (including our dc's Catholic school), so I'm surrounded by rugrats, and it's soaked outside but at least the storms are gone.
We're supposed to have a yard sale tomorrow afternoon and Sat. morning, so hopefully it dries out enough by then.

I was up throughout the night also. Thankfully we only had HEAVY rain and thunder/lightning and some 60+ mile per hour winds ~ no tornadoes right in our area. Also just a small bit of hail ~ nothing much. It is just so nerve racking when the storms, tornado sirens, hail, etc. hits during the night. Ours was from about 2:30 a.m. till 4:15 a.m. On the radio they are saying there are power outages everywhere and tree limbs all around but thankfully we kept our electricity, and though we are on an acre with tons of trees, no huge limbs are anywhere.

How frightening that must have been! You must be exhausted being up all night. I'm home from work today because of snow and wind here on the plains, but I'd rather have snow than hail and tornados.
Thankfully we never lost electricity (thanks OG&E!). We lit candles just in case. Our oldest dd freaked out a bit when the hail was going on, but she was fascinated when she saw a piece of it up close. We took pictures of it.
Dh said that a lot of houses he saw on one of the streets he takes to work were damaged--from broken windows to dented siding, etc.
The truck next door had a branch fall on it but I guess it wasn't damaged too bad. The duplex behind us has a window gone and is boarded up.
We have a patio in our backyard that is covered by some sort of awning, and the east side of the awning has a lot of holes in it from being punctured by hail. (We were going to take it down eventually anyway). Other than that and the window (which is easily replaced), it is not bad.
Now it's sunny and windy (hopefully it will dry everything out for our yard sale tomorrow).

We are going to have to replace two windows--the one we noticed last night and the one right next to it has a cracked frame. I guess we should be glad our federal refund is being deposited tomorrow!
The awning over our front porch has a few holes too. There are a few dings in the siding, but nothing you really notice.
Dh's boss has it much worse, however. The back windows in both his cars were destroyed. Also, his home has the windows that have those small individual panes (we used to have them in Oklahoma). He has 35 broken panes.
Our kids' Catholic school has broken windows (which were just installed last summer and cost mucho dinero), but dh said it wasn't too bad (I didn't see them since school was cancelled today).
I just hope we don't discover more damage!
