How did you hear about frugal village? Newspaper column
What interests you here? All Frugal tips. I am a tightwad from way back, but there's always more ways to save!
What will you contribute? My frugal expertise is in feeding & clothing a family on a shoe string budget.
Do you know any other members here? No
How many kids? Ages? 5 All grown. 22,24,26,28,30 - Six grandchildren
Tell us about yourself. Remarried 10 years ago, bought dream home 5 years ago. (My dream, not most other people's!) House is 30 years old, very good condition, has 13 1/2 acres!!!!. I have a garden, wild berries, & nut trees. I have planted fruit trees, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, but they are too new to produce fruit.
Do you own any pets? 3 big outside dogs.Mixed breed of Cane Corso & Doberman. They are sweet & loveable to us, but very intimidating to strangers.
Occupation? Business Manager - responsible for 9 million in accounts receivable
Married or single? Married to a great guy who puts up with all my "homesteading projects" but has not really bought into the whole frugal life style. He's a "throw money at it" kind of guy.
Interests and hobbies? I used to sew a lot, but find that is not really so cheap anymore. I love thrift stores & end of season sales @ the expensive places. I have a big garden, can & freeze a lot. My most popular items are salsa & blackberry jam. I bake bread often & cook from scratch.

Hello Thrifty Mom,
Welcome to Frugal Village!
" May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it. One of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."
