Talking The secret is out...my dd is the real Bigfoot!

Yesterday we took the kids shopping for new shoes. Both dds need new tennis shoes and new sandals for the summer, and ds#1 only needed new tennis shoes (his sandals from last summer are still good).

Dd#2 and ds #1 were easy to buy for, since their feet haven't grown much lately.

Then we got to dd #1 (Kelly--who turns 10 in less than 2 months).

The child is wearing a size 4!!!!:surprise: This time last year it was a size 2!

We had to go to another store to buy her shoes (thank goodness for BOGO 1/2 off at Payless) for a good selection.

If this keeps up, she'll be wearing women's shoes before she hits 11 (she's already almost 4.5 feet tall, and I'm only 5 foot 4)...

    (I wear an 8.5 or 9 now--and I went from a 4.5 to a 6 between the ages of 11 and 12, so I guess I can't talk!)

Our family is a part of the big foot group, too.

DD is 14 is 5 foot 7 inches and has been in a women's size 11 since she was around 11 years old. Also, she has been taller than me since she was about 11 1/2.

DS is 12 and wears a men's size 12. He has just hit his growth spurt and his foot is already bigger than his dad's.

    DH wears a men's 11.

I am the runt of our family - 5 foot tall (the shortest one in our family) and I wear a 6 1/2.

I wear size 8 womens and dh wears 8 mens. Ds who is 9 is currently wearing size 6's and will be in men's shoes the next time we buy him shoes. Ds is going to be tall - well he already is but i think he will be over 6 feet. My nephew ended up this tall and both his parents were short. My grandfather was tall and I think this is where it comes from.

My almost 16yo has been in ladies size 10 since she was 14. I'm praying they don't get any bigger

My 13yo has been in a ladies 9.5 for the last year.

My 9yo ds is in MENS size 5. That's what we had to buy him at the beginning of the school year last fall

I only wear 8-9 depending on the shoe!

Wow! My DS grows out of pants like there's no tomorrow, but has been in a 2.5 shoe for over a year now. He's 11. We've always said we have the only child who actually gets MORE than our $$'s worth on shoes. His feet never seem to grow. Oh and he's 4'8"
