    Smile New from Wisconsin

    I am 30, single, vegetarian, and on the market for my first house...which means I have living frugally on my mind to afford it! I've been doing some small things since I decided to go house hunting a few weeks ago. Making bread and soymilk and doing my laundry by hand. This morning I went through all of my finances since September, and realized just curtailing my unbridled spending would probably fix my budget...lol. I still very interested in being frugal and look forward to all the tips I'll find here.

    Nice to meet you! I am hoping to get a house as well,and also realizing that a lot of my financial stuff would go smoother if I smartened up my spending LOL...I have to learn a balance of "But it's a really great deal!!" What are housing prices like hwere you live?

    Good for buyers! I'm just outside Milwaukee and am confident I can get a 2 bedroom in good shape for under 100K. I have an offer in on one now, hopefully I'll find out today if it was accepted!
