    Default McDonald's Warning

My dd,who works at McDonalds is very irritated w/ the store manager. He has instructed the employees to automatically super-size the meals w/o even asking the customer. That is STEALING in our opinion.DD refuses to auto-super-size without asking the customer first.I do not know if this is happening w/ all locations or just the one that she works for- just wanted ya'll to watch out for this tactic.

My location asks. I don't see how they can do that unless you ordered it that way.

I don't know how they are getting away w/it either b/c that is just WRONG.There have been complaints, yet the store manager is still insisting that the workers do this.

yep welcome to the food service industry! Most probably this manager is probably getting some pressure to sell so many super sized products per month for whatever reason. Not justifying it just explaining why.

I worked for good ole mickey dees for about three months till I quit!
As far as I know, there is no pressure to sell since of course it's fast food, but things change in two years so idk.
    I wouldn't pay for it!

If it is the store manager that is requiring this, as an employee I would go over his head. I know at the fast food restuarants here usually somewhere in the store and on the drive thru window is the name and number for who owns that particular location. I would call the owner. As a customer I would also call the owner, as a person that knows what this restuarant is doing, I would call the owner and the media.

I would also email the corporate office.

That's wrong, IMO. Even though McDonalds are independently franchised I'm sure they could lose the franchise by tarnishing MdD's reputation.

I know the owner of the McD's all around here.
He'd be doing a surprise check if that happened to his places..

Totally agree, you may also want to contact local authorities.

I agree with the other comments that this is not a McD's tactic... it's a local manager's tactic and not a very smart one at that. I think the corporate office would not be happy to learn this was happening.

Personally, I'd complain to the owner and if not satisfied, I'd notify corporate.
