Default Wow! I can't believe it!!

Okay, so I just added up what we have spent towards home improvements and how much we were able to put towards credit card debt. I can't believe how well we are doing! We have done the following all with cash:

Painted first floor bathroom and decorated it.
Painted master bathroom and decorated it.
Had attic finished and a pull down ladder installed.
Have ordered a 8' x 10' shed for back yard.
Replaced dh radiator in jeep. He did the work himself!
    Purchased work out equipment. Craigslist!
    Bought grass seed and mulch.
    Bought a foyer table. Overstock.com

We have done all that and still managed to pay off $10,500.00 of our credit card debt!! We are now finished with all projects for this year and can concentrate all money on paying off debt! It sounds like we spent a lot but really doing most of the work ourselves and buying used equipment we only spent about $4000.00. Thank goodness dh can do all car repairs himself and I can paint adequately!!! The best part of all of this is our ds (11) has been learning a lot about car repair and home improvement. He has become my dh's right hand man!!!

Just wanted to share our progress. It feels good to be moving in the right direction!!

That sounds like wonderful money management. Plus you have the added bonuses of a home to suit your tastes and en education for DS. Great going!

Sounds like you are doing a fabulous job and if you are keeping so busy doing all those things then you can't be out spending money on stuff you don't need!
