Neeley, how is your daughter?
Have been thinking about your daughter and her surgery. Hope everything went well and that she's recovering quickly.

Thanks for asking! She is doing remarkably well.
I don't know that I ever mentioned what she was having done, but she had breast reduction. They took 2 lbs from each side (800 grams each). Eventhough she is only 14 (two weeks from her 15th birthday) her breasts were too large for her body frame. She was slumped over all of the time, had problems running, back aches, head aches and had self-esteem issues.
She was moving around last night as if nothing had happened. She is a little sore, but not nearly as bad as I had thought. Her full recovery will take about 6 weeks.
Several of my friends and my mom had the same proceedure done and are surprised as to how well she is doing. Teens are tough, that is for sure.
Again, thanks for asking and thinking of her.DD (19)

Glad she's doing well. Teens are tough and do seem to recover more quickly than those older.

Aw, poor girl. I can relate, I have the same issues. She's fortunate that you guys decided to do this for her at a young age instead of having to deal with back aches forever.

Glad she's handling the recovery so well! That's quite a surgery to have to have, but the benefits will stay with her always.

Wonderful! I had a few friends in our teens and twenties who had that done, and a few who probaably would have been better off if they had. I currently work with 2 women in their 50's who are natural DDs, and both have serious back trouble and one has trouble breathing attributed to posture due to the weight of her breasts. I think it is wonderful that our society can recognize and resolve these issues - and I always shake my head in wonder when I hear about someone choosing to inflict that problem on themselves. I was a natural AA until my mid 30's, and then put on a lot of weight and am now a C and I REALLY miss sleeping on my stomach!

How wonderful that she was able to have this procedure done! Glad she is doing well. My DMother, bless her heart (and her back) is a natural G cup. Yep, G! She has never had a reduction and she should have had one years ago!
