what was the first song you danced with ....
...... your dad at your wedding?
I am looking for a song that I could put towards my first dance with my Dad at my wedding this November 29, 2008.
My Dad is an amazing guy who has been in my life for the last 16-17 years who has only treated me like his very own which is an absolutely fantastic I wouldn't want anyone else to walk me down the very aisle of a new step of that very journey called life. I have understood the concept of what it really means,"Anyone can be a Father but, it takes some special to be a Dad!"
I would love to hear what you have to say, considering I don't even know where to begin.
TIA,
Precious

We danced to "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler. My dad has since passed away and I still get weepy whenever I hear it.

At my daughter's wedding this past year, DH and DD danced to, I believe it is called, "I loved her first" a country song. It was so beautiful.
Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

We danced to "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. We danced complete with little twirls and all.
It was a fun dance and definitely set the tone for the rest of the wedding.

Didn't have a wedding reception but I would have liked Butterfly Kisses. I'd have probably been blubbering though. Dh suggests the country song Still Cleaning This Gun, LOL for his and dd's dance.

I danced with my dad to "Wind Beneath My Wings." My dad used to play that song over and over and over again. It meant so much to him that I played this for OUR dance. My dad died almost 9 years ago and any time I hear that song I cry.
