    Default Grocery Price Alert Time

I know that the prices will vary depending on everyone's location, but here are a few price alerts that I have to post after doing the monthly HEB(name of store here) shopping:

The store saw fit to eliminate the lowest priced brand of vegetables that sold for .39 cents a can, so now this month I had to pay the lowest price available - .50 a can for corn and green beans(seperately- not mixed veg)

Store brand powdered milk - last month 13.59 - this month 13.99

Store brand hamburger 10# -last month $15.40 - this month $14.90 - but they still tried to charge me $15.40 I called their attention to the error & got it for the lower price

HCF hotdogs - .74 last month -this month .68 on sale

I agree grocery shopping is stressing me out too! Just spent $112 dollars today, hopefully it will last 10 days or so. Then the prices will be higher when I shop next time. Can't win.

I'm so stressed I was nearly in tears after grocery shopping yesterday. I keep trying to get creative, but I just can just do so much. I feel like there's so much pressure on my shoulders to keep the price down, even though DH doesn't expect it. I could ask for a bigger budget, but I really don't want to do that.

I think we're going to start making it a point to stop at Aldi's. haven't been there in a long time. I'm not getting that good of sales anymore at the stores, and my mom was telling me some of the prices. I think we'll start going every 2 weeks. I also went to Dollar General the other day and they have quite the selection of foodstuffs for a good price.

I think that I will be tucking away an extra $10 when I go to the grocery store each month so I will be somewhat covered if there are any unexpected price jumps. When I do the grocery budget, I always use my price book, but that is getting very tricky lately b/c things go up every single month. I have a budget of $500 for the month - well I am already at $483. That leaves $17 to buy whole milk for the baby for the rest of the month. Thank goodness there are only 12 days left. *sigh*
    It's been a tight month - 3 birthdays & a graduation....needed a little extra for special food items.

I've been stocking up each time I go to the grocery on milk, noodles, and things that are on sale. Noddles have went up .25 in the past two weeks. I've started making a detour on my way home to get milk at Aldi's and I've been getting 2-3 gallons each time and freeezing it, because it's ONLY 2.69 a gallon. I think it's sickening that EVERY time I got to the grocery the proces are higher - and sometimes I go 2-3 time a week (no extra driving- it's on my way). Needless to say, I'm over my grocery budget, but I'm not really worried about it because I feel like I'm not wasting the extra money - I know I'm actually saving money b/c the next time I go, prices will once again be higher.

I had gone grocery shopping recently, even the managers of the grocery store shop at Costco, etc because the prices are jumping so high!

I don't buy mayo every month, but I do check the prices whenever I shop... it jumped from $1.39 to $2.49!!!
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!
