Michelle I am so sorry for your loss.
I think that children try to find the best in their parents no matter what and we love them all the same.

(((HUGS)) I know from experience that there is no words to heal a broken heart..reading your post made me cry because my mom wasn't in my life for several years and the day she died all I did was cry and think of what could of been if she had just helped herself w/her drug addiction/depression(and believe me when I say my brothers and myself tried to help her for years to no-avail)..my children never got to know my mom.. as well as my niece and 2nephews.. she was such a great mom and person till life,drugs got the best of her and there was just no helping her.. It's been 4yrs this coming August since her death I think she is in a better place now..she isn't suffering anymore...
