That is soooo super sweet! You can go to http://www.anysoldier.com/ for more information and details on how and who to send care packages to. That is awesome!
My husband is not deployed right now, but I am sure someone else's sweetie or someone they know is.

Nichole,
I was going to mention your screen name, but I wasn't sure if your DH was still deployed. Glad he is on his way home!

That is so sweet of your kids! I know whenever DH deployed, there were airmen that didn't have anyone send them anything, and DH always shared his
It really perks up their days to get a package.
Beef jerky, drink mixes (Gatorade, Crystal Lite, etc) , maple syrup ( the syrup they have there is pretty much thick sugar water), hot sauce (to make chow hall food edible
), fruity candy, tuna snack packs were all high demand items

What great kids! Have them include a letter. Some kids at my school did this and received nice letters back, written by soldiers and a US flag!

I was going to also suggest anysoldier.com . I have chosen several deployed soldiers from there to send to.

I use to send cereal bars, granola bars, beef jerky, sunflower seeds, magazines, chips, cookies, candy was a tough one cause in the summer it ends up in one big blob. gum, certs or lifesavers, oodles of noodles, I know a bunch of the guys my dh was with were into smoked oysters so I sent a bunch of those too.
