Websites and Blogs
First please don't think I am being vain or self indulgent. But I have been told on numerous times, that I am an inspiration, motivator and a source of knowledge on lots of things. Just being me.. I seem to be able to help, listen and outsource all kinds of peoples problems. I find a problem and I can usually find a solution.. to of course anything of anyone elses. My problems are usually the hardest.. still working on myself..ahahhah
But anyway, I have found that I have really enjoyed sharing my info about how I am dieting, saving money, and those little tips that just make a small difference in my life. The grand experiences I have, that most people don't repeat, but I want to share so they know they aren't the only ones.
I also dabble in writing. I am really interested in continuing blogging. I have one blog and I was interested in starting a webpage.
Now my question...
How does one get their own webpage? webaddress? design it ( do you have to pay people to set it up) ? Or should I just continue in one place and blog? I was thinking if I had my own place I could just do about anything I want. Motivational.. Like I can do it you can too..
I was thinking of a name....."Just talking me to you" something personal..
Maybe I am just dreaming. But I think I could possible change the world just a bit and I got something to say...
If you got any directions to give me..feel free to direct me.. and thanks for just listening...

You can get a free web page with easy design features at freewebs.com. You can upgrade that page to a paid site with your own url for not a lot of money.
Otherwise, buy Microsoft Frontpage for designing and uploading your page and set up a website hosting account through a provider.Last edited by suki; 04-21-2008 at 02:14 PM.

Yahoo Geocities is pretty easy. So is Bravehost. I have free sites on both. It is easiest to find a free webhosting service that uses templates -- you just type in your information and don't have to worry about the html. Both Geocities and Bravehost have templates you can use but if you get brave and learn html you can do more with your site. You can also pay to register your own domain name if you don't want people to know you use a free webhosting service. You have to put up with a few advertising banners on the free sites, but it's not bad.
You can look at mine if you want.

The bravehost site needs some work, but you can get an idea of what you can do.Last edited by quiltergirl; 04-21-2008 at 07:43 PM.
